Childcare and After School

Early childhood education and after school care are key to both a child’s success and a family’s success. YWCA provides various subsidies, scholarships, and other forms of assistance for families in need of childcare.

  • CCS (Child Care Services)

    Funded by Texas Workforce Solutions Borderplex, this program assists families with childcare costs and is based on household income. This program is available at every childcare program that accepts CCS, including many After School Programs. This program is subject to the availability of funding.

  • Texas Veterans & Military

    To qualify applicant must be at or below 120% area median income and reside in El Paso County. Texas Veterans and Military who meet certain income requirements receive a 100% scholarship for YWCA After School Programs, Summer Camps, Academies for Early Learning, and Health & Wellness services.

  • EPCC U.S. Department of Education Child Care Access Means Parents in Schools (CCAMPIS) Grant

    This program provides up to 90% off tuition at any YWCA Academy for Early Learning, After School Program, or Summer Camp for EPCC students.

  • WeCare

    YWCA’s own scholarship program provides discounted rates at our Academies for Early Learning, After School Programs, and Summer Camps for households with an income of $48,000 or below.

All of these scholarships and subsidies are subject to prior approval and may require an application and/or proof of income. They are all subject to change are contingent on funding availability.
